The Season of Becoming
Sommer Haus Gallery invites artists to submit work for The Season of Becoming, a juried online group exhibition exploring renewal, emergence, transformation, and the quiet return of spring.
Spring is often recognized first through visible change: longer light, unfolding color, softened edges, and the first signs of renewed life. Yet renewal is not only seasonal. It can also be personal, emotional, symbolic, or deeply internal. For this exhibition, we welcome work that reflects what it means to begin again.
Artists are invited to interpret the theme broadly. Submissions may engage spring literally through landscape, flora, atmosphere, or seasonal transition, or more conceptually through ideas of growth, recovery, awakening, change, return, or reimagining.
We are seeking work that is visually compelling, thoughtfully made, and resonant in its interpretation of the theme.
Selected artists will be featured in a curated online exhibition presented by Sommer Haus Gallery.

Entry Fee: $25 for up to 3 entries

Eligibility
Open to artists age 18 and older.
National and international submissions are welcome.
Accepted Media
We welcome submissions across a broad range of visual art practices, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber art, digital art, illustration, sculpture, ceramics, and assemblage.
All work must be original to the artist, aligned with the exhibition theme, and suitable for a family-friendly, digital presentation. AI-generated images are not accepted.
Sales
Sommer Haus Gallery refers all purchase inquiries directly to the artist.
Artists retain 100% of the sale.
Jury Criteria
Submissions will be reviewed based on:
- overall quality
- originality
- thematic resonance
- strength of visual presentation
- fit with the exhibition as a whole
Submission Requirements
Artists may submit up to 3 works. Each submission must include:
- artwork image
- title
- medium
- dimensions
- year completed
- optional price or NFS
- short artist bio
- website and/or Instagram, optional
Promotion
By submitting, artists grant Sommer Haus Gallery permission to use accepted images for exhibition-related promotion, including website, email, and social media, with artist credit.
Terms
- Entry fee is non-refundable.
- Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
- Work must match the submitted image.
- Artists retain copyright to their work.
- AI-generated images are not eligible.
- Submission indicates agreement with the exhibition terms.
