Why a Group Exhibition?

Group shows create momentum. They help artists gain exhibition experience, connect with new audiences, and benefit from shared promotional reach. For coordinators and collectives, they offer a polished, gallery-standard presentation without the overhead of building an exhibition infrastructure from scratch.

FAQs

How are group applications reviewed?
  • We review applications monthly.
  • We review group proposals for theme clarity, presentation readiness, and fit with our quality and family-friendly standards. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

No. Group acceptance confirms the exhibition opportunity; each submitted artwork is curated for quality and suitability. If a work is not accepted, replacements may be submitted for review.

Sommer Haus Gallery does not process sales. Purchase inquiries are directed to the artist (via provided links or contact method). Artists then manage fulfillment.

To preserve curatorial integrity and ensure a consistent viewer experience, Sommer Haus Gallery does not allow changes once an exhibition goes live. This includes edits to artwork selections, images, titles, pricing, descriptions, artist statements/bios, links, and layout. Please review all submitted materials carefully during the pre-launch proofing stage; once approved and published, the exhibition will remain as presented for the full run.

If your application is accepted, we will confirm available calendar openings and agree on exhibition dates before any payment is collected. Once dates are confirmed, a 50% deposit is due within two (2) business days to reserve your exhibition slot.

The remaining balance is due in full before any design or layout work begins, including exhibition page build, catalog design, promotional graphics, or scheduled promotional activity. Deposits and payments must be received and cleared before work can start.

For group exhibitions, Sommer Haus Gallery works with and invoices the Group Coordinator only. The coordinator is responsible for collecting participant fees and ensuring the deposit and remaining balance are paid on schedule.

All cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing by the Solo Artist (solo exhibitions) or the Group Coordinator/Organizer (group exhibitions). Because each exhibition requires advance scheduling, curatorial planning, design preparation, and promotion, the following terms apply:

Deposits and Refundability

  • The 50% deposit reserves your exhibition slot and is non-refundable once exhibition dates are agreed upon and the deposit is received.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full before any design or layout work begins. Once design/layout work begins, all fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation Timing

  • Before the 50% deposit is paid: You may cancel at no cost.

  • After the 50% deposit is paid and before design/layout begins: The deposit is forfeited; no additional charges will be incurred beyond the deposit.

  • Once design/layout work begins (including page build, catalog design, promotional graphics, or scheduled promotion): All fees paid are non-refundable and cancellation is not eligible for refund or credit.

  • After the exhibition is published: No rescheduling, cancellations, refunds, or credits.

Rescheduling

  • A reschedule request may be considered at Sommer Haus Gallery’s discretion, subject to calendar availability and curatorial scheduling needs.

  • If approved, the deposit transfers to the new date.

  • If design/layout has already begun, rescheduling may require an additional fee based on work completed.
